Is it real? Is it a myth?

One of the various things I miss in the UK is anything Waldmeister-flavoured. I grew up with Waldmeister jelly, Waldmeister syrup and Waldmeister sherbet. And oh, the joy when I found an ice cream parlour that offered Waldmeister ice-cream!

According to leo - my preferred online dictionary - the English translation is 'woodruff'. So far, I've never met an English person though who has ever heard of woodruff. mc claims it's a German fabrication...

Don't be put off by the very green colour - and just enjoy the very special taste!
