Mongo's

Maybe not a name I would pick for a restaurant - but that shouldn't put you off.
Mongo's is a chain of restaurants in Germany that offer Mongolian BBQ.

And that's how it works:
You pick one of nine different marinades, then you get a bowl and go over to the buffet where you pick from a large variety of vegetables, noodles, meat and fish. The bowl then gets handed over to the chef who prepares a delicious meal with your chosen marinade, and served with a bowl of rice.

Meat includes more unusual things like crocodile, zebra and kangaroo as well as 'classics' like chicken, beef and pork. I picked Malay Satay - a peanut/honey/lemon sauce which was really good. Depending on how often you want to help yourself from the buffet, they have different offers: one bowl starts at just €13.90 if you dine between 17:00 and 18:00 (after 18:00 it's €15.90). For just €20.90/€22.90 you can help yourself as many times as you like (and you also get a soup as a starter).

I really like the concept and the food tasted very nice. Thumbs up!
