The 'talk' turned out to be just a 10 minute talk about how Lisa got to opening the cafe and started the work she is now doing. That was rather disappointing... But the (unexpected) goody bag made up for it: a mini grater, sandpaper and a £10 GAP giftcard. Plus a mini workshop on how to distress your jeans. I'll definitely be buying some studs for my denim jacket and my pink chucks - so easy to embellish stuff!

More distress
As part of the Oxford Street Fashion Showcase GAP hosted a talk by Lisa Comfort from Sew Over It - the sewing cafe in Clapham, where I did my first sewing class! And I was lucky enough to win two tickets (one of the many competitions I take part in - it does pay off occasionally...).
