Swedish (?) humour

A few years ago The London Paper was distributed around central London's tube and rail stations. It was a free newspaper and having just googled it, it was actually published by News International. In 2009 publication ceased as it was running at a loss and shortly after the Evening Standard was distributed for free.

What I liked best in The London Paper was the Em cartoon, by Maria Smedstad originally from Sweden. Maria describes Em as a slightly younger version of herself and the stories seem to be autobiographical. You can still read her cartoons on her website. Whether or not this is typical Swedish humour I don't know but in any case I find Em hilarious! Check it out: http://www.emcartoons.com/
