While we did go to a few of the very posh designer shopping malls, I much prefer to go bargain hunting in the local shops and on the markets. My preferred haggling technique is to name the price I'm prepared to pay. The seller then tries to negotiate upwards - somewhere between their original ludicrous offer and mine. But I just say no. And once you start walking away, they usually give in and accept my offer. It becomes a bit of a sport!
