Den lille havfrue

OF COURSE we went to see the little mermaid, too. We went on the recommended city boats tour, which was very nice even if we were both freezing by the end of it... From the boat you can only see the mermaid from the back though, so we decided to get a bit closer on our last day.

We also read up on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale and it's really quite a horrid story... Also made me want to re-read the fairy tales I grew up with.

The German version always ended up much shorter ;-) Also, Danish is such a strange sounding language to my ears. I couldn't detect any resemblance to German. So, why do so many Danish speak German so well???
