Some people can be rather unreasonable. Common sense anyone? And using threats - really? I can picture that person throwing a hissy fit at any given opportunity. And I'm sure it gets them what they want some of the time. Too bad for them, that I can be just as stubborn. Keep trying if you like, my answer will remain the same.
And who knows, one day soon, I won't give a sh*t about these people either. Would be quite cool.
