Proud and/or pleased

I recently had a conversation with my sister about the meaning of the word 'pride'. I haven't gotten to a final conclusion for myself yet. So, I am not sure whether I'm proud. But I am certainly pleased and a bit excited, too. No matter how this will eventually turn out, it's been wonderful to get some great feedback and to know that people have confidence in my abilities.
