I don't know how they do it. London Zoo charges £24 (
!) for an adult ticket. And the zoo in the Parc de la Tête d'Or in Lyon is free. Completely free.

A toddler came by with her Dad and was clearly flabbergasted by this pelican who just sat there. Away from the other pelicans. And she kept asking: why is he not moving? Is he unwell? Very cute. And random.
Apologies for the lack of monkey pictures. They had loads (
monkeys, not pictures), but the cages were positioned so that photos came out too dark.
